Hey everyone! It's Patricia. Many of you don't know this but Bree quit dancing a while ago so now it's fallen apon me to update this xanga! It's been a while since I last updated so let me fill you in.

From May 30-June 1 Terrel Paulk, who works with Washington Ballet, came down to our studio and gave an optional workshop to ICB company members. We learned a lot from him and hope to have him back with us soon.

On June 12th ICB performed at Midsummer Macon along with Guest Artists Atlanta Dance Theater (under the direction of Jonnie Kelly) and Metro Movement Ensemble (under the direction of Jay Jernigan). Our program was entitled "Ballet a la Carte", and we presented everything in the form of a multiple-course meal. There was the Appetizer-a five person untitled piece to the song 'Take Me Coco' by Zap Mama performed by ICB, the Soupe :the Chef's Special:-Les Danses des Cordes performed by ICB, the Salade-a piece by Atlanta Dance Theater called Valse des Concert, the Sorbet-an Excerpt from The Four Seasons entitled Icicles performed by ICB, the Entree Choices-Loosely Based Fugue performed by the Metro Movement Ensemble and Loss Dreams performed by ICB to John William's brilliant Theme from Schindler's List, The Dinner served with Side Items-Of a Revolution performed by the Metro Movement Ensemble and Incognito performed by Atlanta Dance Theater, and finally, the Dessert-Gershwin performed by the International City Ballet. The evening was amazing, and I would just like to take this chance to thank everyone who came out and supported us, you make all of the hard work, blood, sweat, and tears worth it. I would also like to thank, on behalf of the entire company, Atlanta Dance Theater and Metro Movement Ensemble. It was such an honor to be given the opportunity to work with such great groups of people. To the company, you guys have become my best friends in the world. I feel like we've grown so much closer. And finally, to the woman who made this dream possible, Georne, you are such an amazing person. Without you none of this would ever have happened. We would never have been given this amazing chance to grow and become the best dancers we can be. Thank you so much.

On a sadder note, Karsey Long, a company member, and her mother Barbara, choreographer and so much more, will be leaving for Germany this fall. If it hadn't been for the military we would never have known these amazing people, but because of the military we must now say good-bye to them. Mrs. Barbara and Karsey, know that we will always love you and keep you close to our hearts.

Well another season ends and ICB is over for now. Auditions will be held in late August. I'll update again when I have a definite date. Til then!
